Classroom Layout for the class

 classroom diagram of seating

This is how our class will be set up! Here is the diagram that you can observe and look at. I think that this set up of the classroom will be best for the students.

Virtual Field Trips

As a class we will be taking field trips to different places. But the class will also be taking in class field trips, called Virtual Field Trips. With virtual field trips it does not cost anyone money. All we need is our in classroom projector and computer. Everything will be educational and will follow the ALCOS.So here is an example of a site that we will be using a virtual field trip website.

Communication Source through blogs

computer
I think that a great communication source for the classroom are blogs. Blogs are serve as a great way to keep parents involved within the class room. I know that sometimes life gets busy. So I will have a class blog that will have all assignments, class calenders, upcoming test, in class and school events information, email link to me, in class videos, and educational games for the students to explore. This is a way that everyone can be informed and get in touch with me more easier. Also I can communicate with parents that may have to work and can only contact me through email. I will be giving out the address to the class blog starting on the first day of class. I will check emails three times a day. My goal is to respond to each email that I recieve within that day. Please do not hesitate to call the school if there is some thing that you need to talk to me voice to voice. Again, I will be giving out the address on the first day of class so that you are able to take a look at it and explore it for yourself!

Who am I , and What am I about!

Picture of a school house
Hello students and parents! My name is Myrenda Howze and I want to share a little about myself. I graduated from the University of South Alabama with a major in Elementary Education. I love to travel with my family at least twice a year. Observing different areas of the world in a wonder experience. My husband and I enjoy the simple things in life, such as, going to the movies, out to dinner, basket ball games, and short weekend road trips. I do not have any children of my own yet, but they are in the future plans. I will have high expectations for each child that is in my class. Each child is expected to do his or her best on everything. Together with parental help at home and with me each child will do great. I am always available by email, class blog, or school telephone. Do not hesitate to get in touch with me for any reason. Again want to say that I am excited about the school year and I hope that you and your child is also. Thanks! Myrenda Howze
